Bridging Faith to the Future of Genomic Research

All of Us collaborated with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture to host a community convening that delved into the vital intersections of race, faith, and science. This event brought together leaders from faith-based communities and genomic research to explore and shape the future of health care and equity.
The event featured a panel of speakers including Dr. Karriem Watson, chief engagement officer of the All of Us Research Program; Dr. Tshaka Cunningham, executive director of the Faith-based Genetic Research Institute; Veronica Robinson, senior advisor for The Henrietta Lacks Initiative; Dr. Fatimah Jackson, professor emerita at Howard University and professor emerita at University of Maryland College Park; Dr. Chazeman S. Jackson, senior director of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the American Society of Human Genetics; and Rev. Roslyn M. Brock, associate pastor at Alfred Street Baptist Church and chief global equity officer at Abt Global.
