Kimiyo Harris-Williams, M.D., FAAP (she/her), is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. Educating her patients and encouraging healthy habits has been the foundational framework of her practice. Dr. Harris-Williams strongly supports health advocacy and empowers her patients and their parents to be intentional about their health and wellness. She has been a partner in a large pediatric practice and later established, owned, and operated her own private pediatric medical practice, Audubon Pediatrics LLC, for more than 15 years. Dr. Harris-Williams has practiced medicine for more than 25 years and is licensed in Louisiana and California. She started her career in the sciences as a Research Associate in the Department of Pulmonary Critical Care at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC).
Dr. Harris-Williams is the President and CEO of K. H. Williams Enterprises, Inc., an executive health entity focused on health advocacy and medical consulting. Over the past five years, her corporation has serviced NIH All of Us LSUHSC as a Medical Consultant and the Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF) as a Medical Consultant, Community Engagement Coordinator, and Training and Volunteer Coordinator. During her time with the DREF Research Matters Initiative, she was involved in the strategic development and implementation of several community outreach programs. Dr. Harris-Williams has also served as the Co-Chair of the Louisiana Regional All of Us Advisory Board. She currently serves as an Advisory Committee Member for the NIH All of Us Research Scholars Program. She has been a guest speaker and panelist, sharing her expertise at numerous meetings and webinars.
A fierce advocate for women and children, Dr. Harris-Williams has worked closely with organizations to change policy that could improve health outcomes for women and children. She and her husband are the founders of Community of Love, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on cultivating leaders and building healthy communities of love.
Dr. Harris-Williams is a native of New Orleans who cherishes being a wife and a mother. Taking time to embrace and cultivate relationships, both personally and professionally, inspires her and ignites a flame of life in her spirit. Serving the community is her passion.
