Lorena Verdugo (she/her/ella) is Community Health Coordinator for El Rio Health. She is certified in behavioral health services, as a community health advisor and life coach, and has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Health Sciences with a specialty in Trauma from Grand Canyon University.
Currently, Lorena is Coordinator of the local Ventanilla de Salud, which is located inside the Mexican Consulate in Tucson, providing onsite assistance and outreach to low-income and Hispanic migrant families unfamiliar with the U.S. health system. Seasoned in her understanding of the value of outreach in the community, she is articulate and able to provide a bridge between the Spanish- and English-speaking communities and seeks to bring health to her community.
